Primary care

Our primary care physicians (PCP) are your go-to doctors for all your basic healthcare needs. They are the ones who direct and coordinate every aspect of your care. Whether it’s routine check-ups, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, prescribing medication, or the continuation of care, our PCPs are here to help. Allmed primary care services are trusted by thousands of Sacramento residents, so you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.

  • What do primary care physicians specialize in?

Our primary care doctors are trained and skilled in a wide scope of specialties, from general internal medicine to general pediatrics, and more. They are also usually called general doctors or general practitioners because they have a combination of multiple specialties under their belt.

  • Is telemedicine safe?

Yes. Telemedicine has been proved to be equally safe and effective as in-person care when employed under the proper circumstances and for the correct cases. Of course, not every ailment lends itself to video visits, so doctors must exercise caution when using this method of healthcare delivery.

  • When can I request a telemedicine appointment?

As long as your condition does not require direct physical examination or tests, you can see your doctor through a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Make an appointment as normal and ask about our Televisit service.
